I visited Castlerigg stone circle at the weekend. Little is known about the circle, which was built some time between 3200 and 1300BC. Legend tells it's impossible to count the number of stones!
Very cool! I hope to be able to see one of these stone circles some day. They have fascinated me ever since I read (and fell in love with) Diana Gabaldon's OUTLANDER series.
Do you mean 3200 and 1300BC? The stones should have witnessed various types of odd people for centuries. Sorry, not intend to mean you, but hopefully I'll be the next few...

I used to live near Stonehenge, and to my lasting regret, never visited. I have been to several sites in Brittany. I find them amazing places.
