I've just returned from a week on the Isle of Wight. I found this deserted beach at Thorness Bay where I could sit for hours and read without being disturbed :-)
I really like this place. I usually tell people that the picture I see has things I never get to see, but this one feels like home to me. I'm surrounded by the Great Lakes. It's usually a drive, but I can find places like this. They relax me more than most any other place.
OH! As a person who has live near a large lake all her life (not always the same one), these kinds of scenes are just the best. Water lapping at the shore... the most peaceful sound in my world.
The card that you sent Sheila was showcased today on her blog! I was flabbergasted by your creativity in photographing the postcard sending journey. Bravo!
I love to read your comments. If you're familiar with any of the places, plants or creatures or have anything else to add, please feel free to leave a comment below.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot.
ReplyDeleteI still find myself surprised that you can find a deserted beach in the south of England even in April, but it's wonderful that it's still possible.
