  1. After walking for more than an hour in the wrong direction near Hartington in Derbyshire, this is the point where I decided to turn back!

  2. You may get lost in a forest but not in a grass field.

  3. It doesn't look like the wrong direction to me. That place is absolutely stunning.

  4. I would LOVE to get lost there...and then build a teeny little cabin on the left side of the photo, at the top of that medium hill, by the stand of trees. Then I'd build a chair and sit and watch that amazing landscape for the rest of my (now very happy) days!

  5. Thanks for sharing the shot of Hartington, it reminds me of the excellent cheese they produce locally.
I really miss English cheese here (plus perhaps a walk in the Derbyshire Dales on a Sunday afternoon)!

  7. An hour is a long time to be walking in the wrong direction, but I bet your scenery made it seem shorter. How beautiful. Do sheep keep those hillsides clear?

  8. A stunning location, really. Stunning. I have always loved the English countryside and you are doing a very good job of showcasing it here.

Next I look forward to a series on the Lake District. Never been, but every one I know raves about the area!
