Something I enjoy about photography is how it makes me pay attention to the colours and shapes around me. Otherwise I'd never have noticed how red the oak leaves are at this time of year :-)
Gorgeous shot! Some years ago I tried to take up painting but I'm far too impatient for it. However it did leave me with a much greater appreciation of colour and detail in much the same way as your photography does.
