I wish I would have time to visit the Island of Skye when I visit Scotland next year. Too little time to see everything. I'll just have to plan another trip!
Snow! Oh no! Apparently it is going to snow on Thursday! I'm taking the opportunity to wear layers of non-corporate clothin to work in the excuse that I have to circumnavigate London later that day for my exam.
Sorry, I digress.
I looked up Loch Lomond on a map. It looks massive!!! It looks ot be the biggest lake on the British Isles to me. Your photos are stunning, as always.

A few years back I had the pleasure of camping by the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond and I will never forget the views, the fresh air and telling myself that I will be back again...
John, here to answer your question about the shot of the full moon. I got it with my 1500mm. I was in manual mode:AV,F:8 and ISO:200.
It was a very lucky shot because I don't have really good tripod and I am very leery of using it with this lens. I'm afraid it will topple over and I can't afford another 1500.
I still can't believe I was able to hold that heavy lens steady enough to get a clear shot.
Now to the Loch, oh how I do wish you would visit Wordsworth little home someday, while in Scotland and get some pictures.
Pam brought home a few and they were very nice. But, they were simply tourists shots. I just know you could grab some real beauties.
I love your Loch shots above too. But, I think I already said that. I always love your photographs.
What beautiful photos! How great to have the photo oppotunities. I would have to travel far and wide to find such interesting subjects. 3 years ago I did a 3 week tour of England and Scotland....it rained the entire time but it was still wonderful there.
Nice photos, Ben Lomond is a mountain that has defeated me once early in my hillwalking career when my mountaineering mentor made a bad decision to climb in snow above 1000 ft. A large cloud came across and we had total whiteout ! I have a few photographic posts on my blog if you are interested.... labels and september posts for "Ben Vorlich" and "up to Scotland (Luss and Loch Lomond)". Great blog you have here by the way.
Lovely photos of beautiful places... but perhaps you might want to re-name your blog? British wilderness may be more fitting? Not to be too patriotic ;)
