Dawn Over Snowy Fields

snowy fields near Wainfleet, Lincolnshire

Not as much snow as some of you have, but this is how it looks here.

Yup, we've got more, but it's a pretty picture. Snow is so clean looking. It's like nature's apology for stripping all the leaves off the trees and leaving mostly dead brown growth on the ground. A pretty blanket to cover the sad plants and grass.

Oh, seeing that, I just have to share this with you. As our train was pulling into London Bridge this morning, I figured I was heading west and realised the sun must just be coming up in the east. I turned around to look and saw the most beautiful pink and red sunrise and when I turned back, I saw that beautiful pink and red reflected off canary Wharf and the Gherkin and City Hall.

A glorious sky and morning, Very beautiful. I always enjoy seeing snow because we never see it here.

This looks very close to the same amount of snow I have here. I may have slightly more, but not much. I consider that kind of lucky right now.

Winter doesn't leave any room for things to hide. At least until the snow gets very deep. We are approaching that condition here!
