We walked in Snipedales Country Park this afternoon and collected plenty of blackberries. Didn't find many hazelnuts though, despite all the hazel trees. Also collected a few damsons and sloes from close to Bolingbroke Castle. :-)

Hazelnuts are my favourites, especially those found inside chocholate bars.

When we first moved into our house, the backyard was overrun by brambles. Did enjoy the blackberries but in the end all of it had to go. It was really tough and they still try to come up through my lawn.

Oh my son-in-law would love these. Great shot John!!

I hope you have a great week!!

Off topic John forgive me. But, you really should check out Adgetize. It's easy as pie and with around 60 drops a day you earn back your $14 a month. As an affiliate you also earn from referrals and I think page views!! So please if you do check it out....come through my site?:-)))

I love seeing blackberries on the nature trails. They're one of the few things I know can be eaten, even though I don't.

Jackie: it's funny you mention Adgitize, I joined yesterday. I've put it on one blog to begin with. I didn't realise about the affiliate scheme, otherwise I would've used someone's link to join.

I think the blackberries are going to be used to make bramble brandy :-)

Scrumptious photo. I love hazlenuts in anything. Coffee, chocolate and otherwise.

My 4 year old son LOVES blackberries. I have never cared much for them. He even likes to pick them. OUCH!

Great shot.
