Wasp's Nest

wasp's nest

While walking around the lake at Belton House I was surprised by the amount of wasps. Here's where they live :-)

I always see similar nests atop the trees in my jungle, but they are homes of termites.

Wasps really freak me out! I don't like them at all and I don't like the idea that one can sting you tons of times!

That's quite scary. I mean, if they got disturbed whether by purpose or accidentally, just be ready to run!:) And fast!

That's scary to me. I've been stung by a wasp, so they freak me out. Incidentally, there's a small nest outside my kitchen window. :)

John- that's quite a different nest from our paper wasps. It almost looks like a burl.

I try to stay away from wasps. They are interesting creatures, however.

Thanks Emma. It an honour to be chosen when so many great sites have been chosen before me :-)

That is a huge nest and quite scary. I'd hate to come upon that anywhere. Great capture.
